【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverdelayed-actiontimelocksintendedforattachmentonthedoorsofsafes,chests,vaults,andthelike,toprovideameansforlockingthedoorforapredeterminedlengthoftimeasprotectionagainstburglaryorrobberyorboth.1.2Thetimelockscoveredbytheserequirementsmaybeautomatic,manual,orboth,inoperationdependingupontheirdesign.Automaticdevicescanbefactorysettoafixedminimumtimedelayof5minutes.Manualdevicesaregenerallysetbytheuserwithakeyorsimilardevicetoprovidedelaysof120hoursormore.Somedesignsmayincludeboththeautomaticdelayfeatureforinteriorrobberyprotectionandthemanualdelayfeatureforburglaryprotection.1.3Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
