【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofnickel,vanadium,andironincrudeoilsandresidualfuelsbyinductivelycoupledplasma(ICP)atomicemissionspectrometry.Twodifferenttestmethodsarepresented.TestMethodA(Sectionsand)ICPisusedtoanalyzeasampledissolvedinanorganicsolvent.Thistestmethodusesoil-solublemetalsforcalibrationanddoesnotpurporttoquantitativelydetermineordetectinsolubleparticulates.TestMethodB(Sections)ICPisusedtoanalyzeasamplethatisdecomposedwithacid.Theconcentrationrangescoveredbythesetestmethodsaredeterminedbythesensitivityoftheinstruments,theamountofsampletakenforanalysis,andthedilutionvolume.Aspecificstatementisgivenin.Typically,thelowconcentrationlimitsareafewtenthsofamg/kg.PrecisiondataareprovidedfortheconcentrationrangesspecifiedinSection.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
